Saab Key Programming
Saab cars made since 1994 feature an immobilizer system that relies on key codes. A new transponder is required for the addition of an additional key, and special programming. This is usually handled by the dealer using a Tech2 diagnostic tool.

Transponder key
The transponder keys are keys equipped with an electronic chip. It sends a signal to the car when it is placed in the ignition.
